FAYA band is made up of musicians who are of Tongan, Samoan, and Mexican descent. We are a group that appreciate the traditions of our ancestors, respect for family and love for and wisdom of elders. It is through our music that we express our culture and influence. FAYA has been part of numerous shows from San Diego to San Francisco. Our most memorable performance was a Peace March and Rally, which involved all the schools within the city of East Palo Alto. FAYA played for 3000 people who were there to promote Peace and Education. Future aspirations of the band involve sending our proceeds from our 1st CD and/or a Performance to the “Tongan Red Cross” and “Samoan Red Cross”. We hope to help our brothers and sisters define themselves and not by the labeling of others.
