As Fat Caddy grows and music industry business models change (almost overnight
sometimes it seems), the primary goals stay the same: (1) provide tools
and support for artists, so those artists can do what they were created to
do, full-time; (2) keep things in-house when possible to reduce costs for artists;
and (3) support and give back to the incredible legacy of live music coming
from Austin, Texas.
In January 2008, Fat Caddy Records released Dan Dyer’s self-titled album. In
February 2008, Fat Caddy Records will release a sophomore effort by Austin
Collins titled Roses are Black. Releases from 2007 include Macon
Greyson’s fourth album 20th Century Accidents, and a digital single
from Brian Keane, “Forbidden”.
In addition, in March 2007, Fat Caddy Records launched Fat Caddy Plus
(FC+), specializing in lifestyle marketing, web solutions, tour promotion
and complete merchandise services. FC+ is currently shifting all
products to environmentally-friendly options when available, and produces hand-printed,
numbered, limited-run products, using soy-based inks and recycled materials.
