Fastway was originally formed in England in 1982 by guitarist “Fast” Eddie Clarke, after he left Motorhead and Pete Way from UFO. Between 1982 and 1990, Fastway released six studio albums in addition to a live album and a reworked version of “On Target”.

During Fastway’s journey, the band took on various line ups, but the backbone of the band and one constant was “Fast” Eddie Clarke on lead guitar. In 1990, Fastway called it a day until they resurfaced 17 years later with an all new line up.

The 2007 version of Fastway once again features “Fast” Eddie Clarke on guitar, and he is accompanied by Toby Jepson (solo and ex- Little Angels) on vocals, John McManus (ex-Mama’s Boys) on bass and Steve Strange on drums. Their live June debut in London was met with rave reviews and have been a sure fire hit on the stage in the few major festival dates they have already played in 2007. More festival and tour dates are being scheduled! Watch this space for the latest information and tour dates as Fastway once again kicks into high gear and tears across the world

On Monday 4th June 2007, Sanctuary Records released 'Fast' Eddie Clarke - Anthology' on the Castle Music label. This is the definitive Fast Eddie album and is a two-disc collection of Eddie's musical canon taking-in his varied steps onto the Rock 'n' Roll ladder through his collaborative ventures and then finally his solo work in the new millennium. Proving resoundingly that the Fast one has plenty of live ammunition lodged in that bullet belt.
