Formed by brothers Tom and Syd in the summer of 2003 for a tribute gig to their late father singer/songwriter John B. Spencer. Public demand, and a massive feeling of doing the right thing, ensured that what was meant to mark an ending, was in fact the start of an exciting new era.

A year later, their self titled, debut album was released in September 2004.

Released through Irregular Records, the album features a selection of JBS's vast repertoire of songs and some of Tom's, including the tribute to his father 'Johnny B Better'.

All the musicians involved have a connection to the father or one of the sons, giving the album the unique Fast Lane Roogalator treatment, virtuoso musicianship with a resounding youthful energy.

Since the albums release the Roog's have appeared at the Glastonbury, Trowbridge, Trowersy, Sidmouth and Rhythm Festivals. With appearences at venues up and down the country, the band have attracted a good following.

The band has now evolved into a more permanent line-up (although regular guests appear). With this comes a new more distinctive sound, which the band wish to caputure on new recordings.

During October 2006 the band began writing and recording new tracks for the follow up to their debut release, again with ex. John B. Spencer cohort Graeme Taylor in the producers chair. The tracks will either be released as a full album or as a series of limited edition E.P's in the very near future.

The bands live shows create a natural 'good time' atmosphere. Accessible, almost familiar songs, played by a band who look like there's nowhere else they'd rather be, and all fronted by the charismatic Spencer brothers - who are on a mission!!!!Sweet Dreams Baby
