Order Katie Davis Henderson's collaborative album with Liz Davis Maxfield: "Ampersand" by Credit Card: CD - $15.00

Katie and Liz Davis are sisters. When Katie was born, the doctors exclaimed to her parents, "Congratulations, you have a fiddle." This wasn't nearly as dramatic as when Liz was born two years later with a cello in her hands.
Liz graduated from Berklee College of Music with a BA in Cello. Then she received a Fulbright scholarship to study Irish music at the University of Limerick in Ireland. She is the founder of two fantastic musical projects: the Folk Arts Quartet, and the New Time Ensemble. She recently returned from Ireland to move to Wisconsin, where she is sure to take the musical world by storm. She is currently touring this summer. Keep track of her at www.lizdavismaxfield.com
Katie graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science and Music. After finishing school, she embarked on a 6-month-around-the-world backpacking trip with Sam, her partner in crime. She will start graduate research program in Natural Resources this fall. Meanwhile, she teaches fiddle lessons in Cache Valley, and stays involved in many local musical projects. This album, produced by FiddleSticks (which is the regular name for Katie and Liz's family when they play all together) features the fiddle and cello. The title: Ampersand*. Look for more info at www.fiddle-sticks.com.

The album features guest artists such as Cat Larsen on piano/guitar, Rob Honey on bass, and the trendy and fashionable Jake Armerding on mandolin and back-up (listen to his lilting voice on Little Maggie).
