"Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better." King Whitney Jr.

Can you remember a song that, when you first heard it, you immediately identified with it? One that had meaning and seemed to reach inside you, making you completely empathetic because, for some reason, it hit so close to home. And when you heard the song you didn't ask "What genre would you consider this?" or "When's the breakdown comin', man?" You didn't wonder how much hype the band is getting and you could care less if "those damn scene kids" will be at their show. You really didn't think much about that sort of thing because at the time it didn't matter, the music was creating too powerful of an emotion.

Well, that's basically what Falling Stars Burn Bright is about; writing and performing music that we love. Not obeying some ridiculous made-up rules about how an aggressive band should (or shouldn't) sound and what formula we need to follow if we want to be "this kind of group [thumbs up] or, ew. that [fists up]." In fact, we think that mentality is a little silly.

The point is, We're not living in the golden age of rock n' roll now, when music actually had significance and made an impact (thanks to technology and marketing). It isn't a lifestyle anymore, it's just something to enjoy. And it should be something that brings people together, otherwise I believe it's pointless.
