The band started out roughly around April 2002 at a talent show. The three piece band that included a bass player, Lance, and his Dad (filling in on drums) performed in the gym for their school, playing their first song ever written entitled Wake Up. The band decided to stay together after that and found a drummer that was their same age and from the same school. After about four months they decided to replace their bass player.

Two more months passed and the band introduced yet another new member to the lineup to help out on guitar duties, his name was Andrew Berner. The band started writing alot more and created songs such as Forsaken and Drowning. Lance felt his vocals could be alot better and signed up for vocal lessons with Janet Steeves.

The band had been together for over a year now and felt they needed a new drummer. Their new drummer was much younger but had been playing for a while. The band changed up their sound adding a more melodic feel to their songs which now contained more emotion and pain in their lyrics. Within the two years of writing and playing shows the four piece band created songs that they are still playing today such as Black Roses and The End.

After a little more than two years problems occurred with their bass player and he had to be replaced. The band searched for a new bass player and found Andrew Whitmore who had only been playing for a short period of time but learnt quick.

The band ended up finding a home studio in London Ontario called Mole Studios where they recorded 5 songs. The five songs were Black Roses, The End, Butterfly wings on Fire, Memories Burned and Choking on Glass. Not too long after recording the band replaced their drummer with their newest member Justin Shorey.

That year in October the band won a free recorded song at Blueboxstudios in Barrie Ontario where they recorded their most known song to date, Holidays Ago. Everyone in the band loved the sound of the recording and knew that Bluebox was where they wished to record their first EP. The EP includes 7 songs and was released November 4th. From all of us in Falling Souls, thanks for visiting our myspace and we hope to see you at one of the shows.
