Born in Hayward California on the 21st day of August 1983, Falisha was born to a family of all women.women who would soon hear the voice of a songstress destined to live her life through music.

Whether she was in the shower, at the breakfast table, or on the way to school, a young Falisha would express her emotions through song. “I grew up around music everyday of my life. My mom would wake up and the first thing she would do is put on anything from Madonna, Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston, ABC, Johnny Gill, Jodeci, or the Isley Brothers We would dress up and dance around the house, jump on the bed, sing in the mirrorseveryday was a music video."

Moving all over the Bay Area and always being the new girl in school Falisha would find her comfort in humming a little tune to herself getting the attention of those whom she didn’t know were even listening. She began singing in school choir, performing in school assemblies & graduations, malls for the holidays, as well as waterfront restaurants in San Francisco. She was the individual who the instructor would have to warn to "sing with the rest of the choir" and to "watch the vibrato" garnering a reaction so strong it was further confirmation that this was a voice that should be heard.

Growing up she met and failed to accomplish the goal of pushing an album. “I would meet people who claim to want to help me bring my dreams to realization but it always ended up a sour situation. They would be older men thinking I was naive and that maybe they could get in between my lyrics if you know what I mean.”

At the age of 19 Falisha discovered that she would be bringing life to this world and decided to place her love for music on a shelf. September 30th, 2003 Jeremiah was born to the 20 year old. Her boyfriend of almost 8 years decided to do what most scared, irresponsible young men do, and she soon came to realize that she would be doing this on her own. From the time her son was born she held her own in a two bedroom apartment, working a full time position as a bank representative for two years, and enjoying the life of being a parent but there was always a feeling of something missing.

“I attended Silicon Valley College for therapeutic message and took bartending classes. I even went to school for cosmetology but never pursued any of it after graduating. I realized that MUSIC…. is what fulfills me and I needed to get with it before it became to late so here I am.

As a young adult I have been through the first love blues and I have even broken a heart or two myself…everything I write I have been through or I have watched and learned.

I don’t know where this journey will take me but I am ready and willing and I hope you all will enjoy as I share my stories." - Falisha Faye
