Band – Biography



We started as a band in 2003 with Jonas on drums, Jens on guitar, Felix on bass and Tobi and Sammy doing the vocals. But Face Away in those days sounded much different then it is today, it used to be like a mixture between old-school HC and punk rock.



In 2005 we decided to make a change, we got a second guitar-player named Falko and our sound changed into a style which we would describe as straight, mosh-influenced “In your face Hardcore”, or just DTHC! The lyrics and the message stayed the same, it talks in general about being true to yourself (sometimes you have to blame yourself to get it), being proud of what you got, make your own decisions and choose “the hard way”!



In June 2006 we recorded the 4-song-demo “King of my Own” by ourselves, after that Felix left the band and we got Sebastian as our new bass-player. So after we played many shows in our area, we hit the studio for the first time in May 2007 to record 4 songs in a much better quality than the old stuff. The new EP “Cant let Down” is available since the 9th of June 2007. Buy this new stuff and check us out as you come to our shows!



We have broken in March 2008 because of personally reasons and our guitarrist Falko left us. But we are all still very good friends!!!

We want to say THANK YOU to all those who supported us throughout the years, especially those who always came to our shows , giving their best on the fuckin Dancefloor and made us feel good! Every single one of you helped us having a great time which we won't forget!!! Thank You!!!



Wir haben uns leider im März 2008 aufgelöst, unsere Abnschiedsshow am 1.März war der absolute Wahnsinn. Danke an alle die dort am Start waren und uns ein letztes Mal eine unvergessliche Hardcore-Show beschert haben!!!

Wir wollen uns zum Abschluss noch einmal bei jedem einzelnen bedanken, der uns im Laufe der Jahre auf welche Art auch immer unterstützt und supportet hat, vor allem bei allen die regelmäßig auf unsre Shows gekommen sind, Unsere Songs mitgesungen haben oder im Pit alles zerrissen haben. Ihr habt uns immer wieder ein geiles Gefühl auf der Bühne gegeben und uns eine unvergessliche geile Zeit geschenkt!!!

Unterstützt weiterhin die lokale Hardcore Szene (zwei von uns werden mit einer neuen Band 'Second Try' weitermachen/ 1. Show am 25.04. im Vortex in Siegen) und bleibt euren eigenen Idealen treu!
