While our recent epoch is dominated by highspeed life cycles and a merely incessant strive for innovation and musical revolution in particular, nobody seems to realize the enormous musical impact of the past. This past Im talking bout serves PAZE ESTRADA as the formula for success. The swingrocking triumvirate originally stemming from the boondocks of Eastern North Rhine-Westphalia, draws on the early 60s and 70s beat movement. Unlike the piteous rest of Germanys rock biz that has been brought into line by some bronzed media morons from the former rock capital of Hamburg, the band around the universal genius PAZE ESTRADA, some say one of Steve McQueens long forgotton sons resulting from the stars famous series of pit babe flings, is capable of producing full throttle no bullshit sound sensations without depending on any computerized sample bric-a-brac “were to f&%$ing hip to hop the pop” snot – understand? If you dont, let me put it this way: PAZE, Travis and D.A.N. not only trigger off positive emotions while theyre flipping their red-hot gasoline rock bogeys in the direction of popular mainstream pop mockups like Mr. Williams and the rest of the rabble, no, they simply swoop for the ingeniuity of the KINKS, grab for the brutish guitar explosions of early MC5, confiscate The Whos legendary stuborness interblend the whole stuff and produce one fabulous swingrock masterpiece after another. PAZE ESTRADA make harmless bystanders instantly start growing side-whiskers and transform office sitters into air-guitar pickers with attitude and floating loon pants. They spread true passion, hot sweat and dictate the terms of Rock on their own. In other words, their physical appearance on stage reflects a greasy shot glass full of testo while rumor has it that female fans feel inclined to undress themselves. PAZE ESTRADA 100% authentic , 100% mandatory, 100% addictive! Thats exactly who the boys are and what they have been doing since winter 2005. Nebel zog auf, doch der Kurs war klar, als die Betrachter der Rennstrecke versuchten mit aufgerissenen Augen ihre ebenso offenstehenden Unterkiefer in ihre Ausgangsposition zurückzubewegen. Ein sinnloses Unterfangen, denn nichts sollte mehr so sein wie vorher, als das Paze-Car mit wahnwitziger Geschwindigkeit an ihnen vorrüberzog und klarstellte wo verdammt nochmal vorne sein musste.
Hinter den halb heruntergelassenen Scheiben sah man nur einen Mann, der seinen Kopf rythmisch zu einem vorher nie dagewesenen Sound zu bewegen schien - Paze Estrada.
Ein krachender Nachhall, der alles umantelnde Duft von Pomade und verrauchtem Leder – ja, die Pole war unbestritten.
Ein Dutzend Zugaben später verließ die Menge die Zuschauertribüne, kratzte sich an den nachgewachsenen Kotletten und stolperte fast über den vorher nicht dagewesenen Schlag in ihren Hosen.
So fühlt es sich an wenn man Travis – Paze – und D.A.N bei der Arbeit zugesehen hat. Mit jedem Ton, jeder Gesangslinie und jedem Hüftschwung wird klar, dass hier eine Band den Planeten erobern wird, die ihren Platz gefunden hat – Vorne!
Es gibt Dinge, die sind bekanntlich nur schwer zu erklären, aber genauso gibt es Phänome, die keiner Erklärung bedürfen, denn was soll schon passieren, wenn ein musikalisches Jahrhunderttalent, das sich in grauer Vorzeit seine Hörner bei Genregrößen wie Wytchcraft, Human Target und Lady Smith abgestoßen hat, in eine Badewanne voller Twiggyposter fällt.
Richtig, er begann zu swingen und Mr. Estrada begann zu swingrocken! Genau das tut er seit Ende 2005 und da ein anderes Ende nicht abzusehen ist, sollte sich die versammelte Rockgemeinde lieber eine Vorratspackung Old Spice zulegen und sich zur Einstimmung Steve McQueens Bullit reinziehen, um überhaupt zu schnallen, was da über sie hineinbrechen wird.
