Exuberant Panda

Exuberant Panda is a rock quintet based in the east Tennessee hamlet of Morristown, a spawning ground for many of East Tennessee's talented bands that often go unnoticed. As with the formative stages of any newly-assembled group of musicians, the membership has altered slightly since its inception in late 2007. In less than a year's time, the band has gained respectable momentum, establishing themselves with musically versatile stage performances and songwriting approaches. As curious as their band name is the broad spectrum of genres from which the band draws influence for their methods of composition, which combine stylings from alt-rock, screamo, and metalcore and constructs them on foundations of melodic rock. Music as eclectic as that of Exuberant Panda appeals to a variety of crowds as it resists easy dismissal into the limitations and expectations of a singular musical category. The band garnered attention with the recording of a self-titled EP in early 2008 and returned to the studio that summer to complete their first full-length CD entitled "Today Creates Tomorrow." With this independent release in hand and a solid membership committed to the mission of the band, Exuberant Panda is already touring in support of their new record and making their name and sound known in ever-widening circles in the region.
