"The Fire Within"



Formed in 2006, founding members Jared Ward & Seth Morrison set out to put together a new band coming from the retirement of Ohio based Christian Rock band "3PO" in late 2004. Spreading the word, they set out to find musicians who shared the same passion which also helped spawn the band name but searching for a name didn't come easy, "I had been searching for a name for several months but nothing would ever stick, we went through thousands of words through the Bible, the dictionary & various websites. I would just write down words from each page I looked through, anything that looked like it would fit as a name.I was looking through one of the pages one day & found "Everlasting Fire" near the bottom, the more we thought about it the name really made more sense.", "It describes what we're all about" says Ward. "To me it means there will always be an Everlasting Fire burning inside of us for God" adds Morrison.



Months later, enter bassist Marty Jacobs formerly of Suffer/Triggersoul who knew the two cousins all the way back to Elementary School. "Marty was a great fit, not only was he a great guy but he's a talented bassist & really helped us in writing our first demos" explains Ward. Now with a name & solid foundation the band began writing & recording demos starting in late 2006, it was then they found their sound. "I don't know how I would describe it, hopefully people like it." explains Morrison, "We're all influenced by so many styles so we never want to be close-minded when it comes to writing music." says Ward. To date the band has recorded 4 demos which can be heard on Myspace & other networking sites, & they are still looking for the last missing piece to complete the band, "Hopefully we can finally get out there, it's been tough but we trust that God will bring us the right guy" comments Ward.



What does the future hold for Everlasting Fire? only time will tell but the band will always trust in their faith, "First & foremost we're a Christian band" explains Morrison, "We owe everything we have to God", "At the end of the day we just want to share a positive message"
