DOWN LOW sind sich treu geblieben.

Und das schon seit 1995, als sie mit 'Vision of Life' auf Platz 18 der deutschen Single-Charts ins Musik-Geschäft einsteigen.



Man erinnert sich noch gut an den ersten großen Erfolg des Duos: 'Johnny B.', die Cover-Version des Hooters-Songs. Dafür erhalten Rapper Joe Thompson und sein Sänger 1998 eine Goldene-Schallplatte und schaffen es in die Top-Ten der deutschen Charts.



Obwohl es um DOWN LOW in letzter Zeit etwas ruhig geworden war, haben Joe Thompson und Rick Lamont sich ihren außergewöhnlichen Stil bewahrt. In diesem Sinne sind die Väter des "European Hip-Hop" gerade dabei ihr neues Album mit dem Titel 'Return Of The Trendsetter' zu produzieren. 'Start The Riot', die Single-Auskopplung ist bereits auf dem Markt, 'The Message' folgt in den nächsten Wochen. DOWN LOW sind bereit für ihr großes COME BACK!



DOWN LOW is one of the biggest names in the European rap, which became widely known in 1995 and still is good recognized around Europe and Russia.



In 1995 DOWN LOW for the first time went into the German single-charts on position 18 with "Vision of Life". The group's first big success "Johnny B." - a cover-version of a Hooters song - is still in agreeable memory. Therefore, rapper Joe Thompson and his singer received "Gold" and achieved a top-ten position in the German charts. Six months later, they even exceeded this huge success with their ballad "Once Upon a Time", this single was sold in more than 400 000 units, reaching "Gold" in Germany.



DOWN LOW received platinum for their album, "Moonlight" in Italy, later they sang themselves on top of the charts again and again. Over the years, it was raining numerous awards all around Europe, e.g.,"The most often booked band of the year 1999" Then for some years it became a little bit more quiet around DOWN LOW, but Joe Thompson (the rapper) and Rick Lamont (vocals) reserved their exceptional and successful style. In this sense the "Godfathers of European Hip-Hop" have just produced their new album "Return of the Trendsetter". The single called "Start the Riot" is already available. "The Message" is about to follow in a few weeks.
