The band began in 2006, there was integrated by CAMILO RODRIGUEZ in the drums, SERGIO OSORIO in the guitar leader and guttural voice, FRANCISCO TUAY in the bass and SERGIO CASTELLANOS in the rhythmic guitar, the four do the first conformation, a little time later there joined to the band RAFAEL MAZUTIER in the keyboards giving it a melodic dye to the songs, completing in this time what was called "POSTMORTEM". From this moment the band was directing towards the composition of a death metal with melodic influences, incorporating music of different shades and influences of its own members, experiencing different musical subkinds.
After almost three months of hard task to connect the different musical areas, lamentably SERGIO CASTELLANOS took disadvantages as personal differences with the group, and this one met forced to do without his talent.
This event didn't prevent the labor of the band, that gave to the band guidelines for a major progress, already solved this disadvantage, the keyboards passed to take the rhythmic positioning of the band. A little time later RAFAEL MAZUTIER decides to leave of the group for personal problems. The band decides to change its name to EUPHORBIA MORTUS (euphoric death in Latin) beginning on November 19 of 2.006, integrated by CAMILO RODRIGUEZ, SERGIO OSORIO and FRANCISCO TUAY. They end the year with three own songs in its digest(CRY A LOVE, DESPUÉS DE LA MUERTE [INSTRUMENTAL] and CAOS).
At the beginning of 2007 they realize a series of hearings to obtain the second guitarist; then they find to CESAR SANTOS a guitarist experienced with wide musical experience, finishing this way the great voyage of conformation of the group, and the musical offer of the band consolidates in a DEATH EXPERIMENTAL METAL penetrating more into the experimentation and not remaining labelled in an alone genre since every member has his own musical trend.
The aim of the group is to give an original offer in order " NOT TO STAY IN THE SHADE OF OTHERS ". From an ideological point of view, the band gives a look fewer vanal to the life and this society who afflicts to so many minds that stroll around senseless before an absurd reality " EUPHORIC DEATH OF THOSE MINDS THAT ARE LIKE SHADES IMMERSED AND SLAVES TO AN ABSURD OPPRESSION THAT INVADES AND COLLAPSES YOUR SENSES LEAVING THEM WITHOUT CONTROL OF THEMSELVES". The band has several influences from dark tranquillity, death, slayer, metallica, epica, dark lunacy up to national bands like kilcrops, cancerbero, between others.
We regret saying that on May 11 Cesar Santos decides to give a step next to Euphorbia Mortus's life, but all his knowledge and all his energy will be in force always. We fills with pride us to say that on May 26 JUAN CAMILO decides to be one more "EUPHORBIO" and now he is our new guttural voice, in order to give to the band more force and power to the songs, and to be able to show what that Euphorbia Mortus is. The band started new hearings searching a rhythmic guitarist in May until June of this year. Nowadays it's in process of ensamble of more own songs, covers and has a projection of the promotional demo and its later recording, and in this way contemplate the birth in the light of EUPHORBIA MORTUS.

La banda tiene sus inicios a mediados del 2006 integrada por CAMILO RODRIGUEZ (BATERIA), SERGIO OSORIO (GUITARRA LIDER Y VOZ GUTURAL), FRANCISCO TUAY (BAJO) Y SERGIO CASTELLANOS (GUITARRA RITMICA), los cuatro hacen la primera conformación, al poco tiempo se incorpora a la banda RAFAEL MAZUTIER (TECLADOS), para darle un tinte melódico a las canciones completando así lo que entonces se llamaba "POSTMORTEM". Desde ese momento la banda se encaminaba hacia la composición de death metal con raíces melódicas, incorporando a su música distintos matices e influencias de sus propios integrantes, experimentando diferentes subgéneros. Luego de aproximadamente tres meses de dura tarea para acoplar los diferentes ámbitos musicales, lamentablemente Sergio Castellanos (Guitarrista Rítmico) tuvo inconvenientes con el grupo, viéndose la banda forzada a prescindir de él. Este acontecimiento no truncó la labor de “POSTMORTEM”, sino que por el contrario, le dio pautas para un mayor progreso, desde ese momento, los teclados pasaron a tomar el posicionamiento rítmico de la banda,
Poco tiempo después RAFAEL MAZUTIER decide marcharse del grupo por problemas de índole personal.
La banda decide cambiar su nombre al ver el numero de bandas ya consolidadas con el mismo a “EUPHORBIA MORTUS” cuyo significado es Muerte Eufórica, iniciándose formalmente como banda el día 19 de Noviembre del año 2.006 integrada por CAMILO RODRIGUEZ (Baterista), SERGIO OSORIO (Guitarrista Líder y Voz Gutural) y FRANCISCO TUAY (Bajista y Segunda Voz Gutural), y terminan ya el año con 3 temas propios en su repertorio (CRY A LOVE, DESPUES DE LA MUERTE [INSTRUMENTAL] Y CAOS).
A principios de 2007 realizan una serie de audiciones para conseguir un guitarrista rítmico, encontrándose entonces con César Santos, termina la gran travesía de conformación del grupo, se consolida la propuesta musical de la banda es un DEATH METAL EXPERIMENTAL profundizado aun mas en la experimentación y no quedar tildado en un solo genero pues cada integrante tiene su propia tendencia. El objetivo del grupo es dar una propuesta original con el fin de " NO QUEDAR A LA SOMBRA DE OTROS ". En el punto ideológico, la banda trata una mirada menos banal a la vida y a esta sociedad que aflige a tantas mentes que vagan sin sentido ante una absurda realidad.
"MUERTE EUFORICA DE AQUELLAS MENTES QUE SON COMO SOMBRAS INMERSOS Y ESCLAVOS A UNA ABSURDA OPRESION QUE INVADE Y COLAPSA SUS SENTIDOS DEJANDOLAS SIN CONTROL DE SI MISMAS".
Lamentablemente César Santos decide dar un paso al lado de la vida de EUPHORBIA MORTUS, pero todo el conocimiento y energía que dejó en la banda quedará vigente siempre. Poco tiempo después, se incorpora a la banda JUAN CAMILO MEJIA (Voz Principal) dándole aún más fuerza y energía a las canciones, luego de Juan Camilo, se incorpora a la banda JULIAN CAMILO BAUTISTA (Guitarrista Rítmico),despues de un tiempo a finales del 2008 luego de la repentina salida del vocalista quien por motivos de familia tuvo que retirarse de la agrupación, no sin antes dejarnos toda su energia, su profecionalismo y su aprecio. se incorpora a la banda un gran amigo y hermano, JULIAN REINA(Voz Principal) Dándole mucha mas fuerza a la banda, poderío y entrega en cada sonido estremecedor a su corrosivo y extremo metal.
acercando aún más a la banda hacia el cumplimiento de sus expectativas y completando finalmente la conformación de EUPHORBIA MORTUS. Las influencias musicales son muy variadas, desde Dark Tranquillity, Death, Slayer, Metallica, hasta nacionales como Killcrops, Cancerbero, entre otras.
La banda cuenta con un predemo (Cry a Love) y un demo en vivo (Exporock 2007), y con un EP "LA PODREDUMBRE DEL SER" del cual se realizará el lanzamiento oficial en el mes de Julio, además esta en proceso de ensamble de más canciones propias, covers, dando así riendas sueltas al nacimiento a la luz de EUPHORBIA MORTUS.
Luego de un tiempo de ya consolidada la banda JULIAN REINA(vocalista) toma la desicion de retirarse por motivos personales, no sin antes dejar una estela de excelente dedicacion, experiencia, profesionalismo y entrega como musico a la banda, es menester darle las gracias por todo lo hecho con la banda y existos en sus nuevos proyectos.
Ahora para Euphorbia Mortus viene un nuevo cambio conservando su esencia, pero sin dejar de la lado el profesionalismo y la brutalidad para seguir en la lucha, dejando como unico Vocalista a Sergio Osorio(Guitarra Lider), ya entregados al trabajo y dedicacion musical en cada una de sus nuevas composiciones, el objetivo nuevo de la banda es mejorar su nivel musical encerrarse en el estudio de grabación y mejorar la tecnica con el fin de que la grabación del album debut sea todo un exito y continuar este gran camino.
