BIOGRAPHY:



Eric Himan has been playing acoustic guitar since the age of 8. Always curious and mystified by the vibe of the piano, Eric decided to challenge himself and take on the experience of learning to play a completely new instrument. Setting his goals high, Eric sought out and purchased his first piano for under a hundred dollars. Now having the tool in his own living room, Eric drew on songs from his previous six studio albums to use as his template for learning and exploring how to express himself through this new medium.



Out With The Old (release date: Nov. 2nd) is the product of those lessons and captures eleven of his most requested songs re-invented live! Being free from the guitar and new to the piano, Eric delivers "Gonna Make It Work", the exclusive twelfth track written during this process.



Proudly independent and fiercely grassroots, Eric has built a solid coast to coast following. With his loyal fan base always at his side, Eric has proven that an artist with something to say and a humble approach can redefine what a successful musician looks like in this viral day and age. Since Eric moved away from the State College area, he has become a big fish in the little sea of Tulsa, Oklahoma winning top honors Artist of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year at Urban Tulsa Weekly's Absolute Best of Tulsa Music Awards, Best of the Best in Oklahoma Magazine for two years, launching a popular rock band project, Eric and the Adams (www.ericandtheadams.com), and even performing in the orchestra for this year's Rocky Horror Picture Show production at the Hard Rock Casino. Eric is excited to close out 2010 with his Side X Side Tour on Monday nights with good friend and 2010 Tony Award Winner, Levi Kreis.
