Gigs: Eric has been headlining shows for over 20 years in America, Ireland and Germany and has played support for Broken Social Scene, Ocean Colour Scene, Fionn Regan, Tiny Vipers and many others.
Eric will be touring European in October and November playing full band electric shows as well as special acoustic gigs with a smaller backing band.
Biography: In a quarter-life crisis, Eric Eckhart left America, his corporate job, possessions, family and friends and moved to Europe to go after his dream and reconnect with his lifelong passion for music.
His new album, 'This Is Where It Starts', was recorded in Berlin in what was former East Germany's main radio station. Eric's music continues to branch out while feeding off his West Virginia roots by blending Americana/Pop with Indie/Rock, all with classic songwriting sensibilities at its heart.
Produced by Eric Eckhart and Fab Leseure (worked with Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Frames), the album also features Dave Hingerty (The Swell Season, Josh Ritter) and Nina Hynes and was mastered by Simon Davey (Bj�rk, Moby) at the Exchange.
Realised with the help of friends in Berlin's artistic community, and the support of family in America, 'This Is Where It Starts' is testament to the belief that it is never too late to begin again.
