Bailey Way Entertainment focuses on positive development consultation, songwriting, collaboration, and networking to properly develop creativity and help new artists to acquire major label results. We can write, record, produce and mix records at the highest standard.

A brief history on BWE President Jeff Johnson

Jeff Johnson got introduced to music at a young age. Starting with Piano at age 5, Jeff learned he had a gift. His musical ear propelled him into many facets of music education and performance. Jeff spent most of his younger years exploring and learning the sounds of various instruments such as guitar, bass, trumpet, euphonium and voice. The headphones rarely came off.

It wasn’t long before Johnson’s songwriting started earning the band accolades like national television exposure with the CBC Music Dream, CFOX Radio Vancouver seeds 2003 competition and a song placed in the NHL 2004 video game. Jeff Johnson was building the profile of his resume one song at a time.

With the help of friend and engineer/co-producer Gordini, Jeff set out to redefine himself again and made the underground ep “Songs To Believe In” a collection of emotional acoustic/rock songs that caught the attention of Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger. Impressed with Jeff’s songwriting and his vocal emotional style, Kroeger signed Jeff to his Vancouver label 604 Records home to staple rock acts such as Theory of A Deadman, and Thornley.

Jeff spent two and a half months writing and recording with Chad Kroeger and quickly learned the way to craft a good song and capture it in the studio. Jeff’s love for song writng and his passion for recording moved him to focus mainly on studio recording, collaboration, and producing songs.

In early 2007 Jeff Johnson teamed up with Rod Black for a song writing project that would eventually become Jet Black Stare. From the inception, Black and Johnson knew they had the chemistry to make something amazing but just needed the funding.

Broke and struggling to make ends meet Rod Black filled two credit card applications. With the money from those two credit cards, Rod Black, and Jeff Johnson hired engineer friend Gordini and created the demos for “Fly” and “In This Life”. Those two songs eventually caught the ears of Island Def Jam CEO LA Ried and Jet Black Stare was signed.

Impressed with the demo recording and writing, LA Ried and A&r rep Eric Spek hired Jeff Johnson to co-write and co-produce the whole Jet Black Stare Record.

Thus Bailey Way Entertainment was born September, 2007 and Jeff has not slowed down since.

Jeff Johnson joined forces with Producer manager services of Andrew Brightman Music to shop new ideas, and help manage the increasing demand for material.

Jeff is currently signing developing artists and has recently worked with Killers, Metro Station producer/mixer mark Neehdham on Los Angeles rock band "Divide the Day" "Universal Republic".
