Low Standards

We are Low Standards. Michael is the drummer; he's sixteen years old and has been playing drums for nearly half his life. I (Eric 17 yrs. old) am the guitarist, lead vocalist, and songwriter. I have been playing guitar for about three or four years now. Jake, the bassist, (17 yrs. old) has been playing bass for about three or four years now too. Kyle is a new addition to the band who joined in the summer of 08. He is the new rhythm guitarist and back up vocalist. He is making huge steps in his playing and we are looking forward to the good times ahead with him. Cain Bowers was our rhythm guitarist for almost a year and, we enjoyed every show, every laugh, and all the times that wouldn't have been the same without him. Cain graduated high school, went to college in Wilmington NC, and no longer plays with us. We have been playing together for about two and a half years. We started out playing really sloppy punk rock covers and I wrote most of the early original songs. Now every member of the band contributes a great deal to the song writing. We stayed in the punk rock scene for a year or so. After we all started improving and challenging ourselves musically, we decided to take a different direction in our music. Now, with every new song we try to be as original, talented and energetic as we can be. Every song has it's own style and feel to it and no song sounds cliché or redundant. We have had never-ending support from our parents, our friends and fans, which are the best in the world, and all the bands, venues, and people we've met a long the way. Every bit of encouragement is appreciated with everything we have and we hope to be seeing you all soon.
