After releasing their debut album in 2001 Emitter has taken the music business by storm! Immediatly the band was courted by major labels from their Nashville produced debut album. Formed by singer Jason Chappell, bassist Dave Schoon and guitarist Steven Van Der Griend they immediatly began touring in front of national acts like: Ben Folds, Tonic, the Gin Blossoms, Sleeping at Last, Collective Soul and Bowling for Soup.

After a series of mediocre offers from labels Emitter decided to take an independent approach to recording. In 2002 and 2003 they released back to back E.P.’s entitled “Melody” and “El Camino Yes Maybe.” Once again the band found themselves in the spotlight when the song “White Trash Town” became a Radio and Records certified hit. After touring rigorously through those years Emitter finally took a break after the summer of 2004 to begin writing a new album.

Currently the band is putting the final touches on their fourth studio release. The full length album is being produced by Marc and Eric Johnson (Jurassic 5, Kyle Cook of Matchbox Twenty, John Waite, Transmatic) and the band has courted legendary drummer Kenny Aronoff (Smashing Pumpkins, Mellissa Etheridge, John Mellencamp) to play drums on it.

Look for the new album to be released soon. stay tuned. And for Emitter to exceed all expectations once again!
