Emily grew up in Liverpool, New York - a suburb outside of Syracuse, which is statistically the snowiest city in the country! After high school, she went to Niagara University where she earned a degree in secondary English education. Emily then got a master's in communications and theatre from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

In 2004, she decided that 25 years in central and western New York had been more than enough! Emily packed up her things and headed down to Nashville, Tennessee. "I literally packed up a U-Haul and just came down. I didn't even have a place to live!" But she managed to find a place and has been living here ever since. She is the co-founder of Joint Custody Productions, which specializes in the promotion of various media and entertainment projects. (www.jointcustodyprod.com)

"Music has always been a big part of my life. I'm definitely an eclectic. I love music of all genres. I'm a die hard fan of 80's new wave music. Country, classic rock, alternative, pop, rock-n-roll.I love it all! My original plan had been to come down here and pursue country music. But then I decided not to limit myself. I guess the best way to define what I do is acoustic rock. Is it any good? You check it out and tell me!"

In addition to her music, Emily has also written her first play, which is a comedy about a rising starlet in today's music industry. It will be performed by the Post Depression Theater group in East Nashville in the Fall of 2009, and star Miss Steele, herself.
