Emil.RuleZ!

was started by Hajós András, Hegyi György and Verasztó Gyula in the mid 90s as a hobby band. They have managed to create a personal atmosphere in their music, which is very typical in Emil.RuleZ! songs from the beginning. Music is composed by Hajós András and Hegyi György is responsible for the ironic, tricky lyrics, which is a relevant part of their special, cheerful tone. Mostly because of that, they are still able to keep their unique sound, though Verasztó Gyula has left the band in 2005.

Generally two people (Hajós and Hegyi) means the Emil.RuleZ! for the public, however, some professional musicians play with them on concerts. The same musicians play on their records too, so we can say they are the external members of the band.

Unfortunately the lyrics works in Hungarian only. This fact is a bad news for those from other countries who are interested in Emil.RuleZ!'s music. They lose quite a lot. We hope the music and the feeling are still enjoyable separately as well.

There is a special song called Hello.Tourist! with lamer English pronounciation, which is a curved mirror for other Hungarian bands. It's a habit to write songs in English after some time hoping international success. On one hand it's very difficult to reach that from Hungary, on the other hand they usually have awful pronounciation.

Interestingly enough, this is one of the most popular songs of Emil.RuleZ! in Hungary.
