EMERSEN

To the casual over-the-counter jazz/pop consumer, Emersen's most recent album will readily draw comparisons to the likes of Maroon 5 or John Mayer, but don't fall for this trap. In fact, if that rumor is spreading, stop it. Emersen is more like… Emersen. Sure, there are some "sounds like" to their unique, upbeat jazz sound, but they have a unique flow and chemistry that showcases great keyboards, tight lyrics, and solid vocals. Know this: Emersen shines in a way that sets them apart from those other over-the-counter-sounds-like guys.
In the end it's best to avoid comparisons and simply look at Emersen as nothing less that completely original. Mark it down: 2010 you too can join the soon-to-be-growing fan base of Emersen. Go buy this album!
