Why G? was born Yogi Guyadin to two hardworking and
loving Guyanese immigrants who settled in Jamaica, Queens.
Why G has performed at various venues such as:
The 5 Spot (Bklyn, NY), Zulu Nation's 33rd Anniversary in 2006 (NYC),
S.O.B's (NYC), End Of Week/EOW @ The Pyramid (NYC), Guerilla Words @
Nightingdales (NYC), Sin Sin Mondays (NYC), SOBE Live in Miami Beach
(FL), Court Tavern, World Music Wednesdays @ Sputnik (Bklyn), Bowery
Poetry Club (NYC), Santos Party House and many others places with much more to come.
Why G has also worked/studied with his mentor,
musician/pianist/producer Professor KB.
He now works with Jazz Musician/ Composer/ Arranger Alan J Palmer and his Son Joe Palmer.
He also just completed studying
at Five Towns College this past Fall 2007 to continue his study in
engineering, production, music theory and
composition.
When asked about the future Why G? responds, "I'm going to continue to
make the best music I can, help others do the same, study my craft while supporting & improving the communities we live in by being a living example of the changes I
seek .Peace & Love."
