Ever since Effen literally went from bedroom to big room with his debut at Singapore's superclub Zouk in 2005, no one was quite prepared for what's coming next.
4 years on, One of Singapore’s fastest rising talent has his feet firmly placed in the Singapore club scene. With 4 residencies behind him, (including a successful stint with the almighty dance brand Ministry Of Sound), he has warmed up and played alongside with some of the world's biggest stars including Ferry Corsten, YOJI, Solarstone & Marcel Woods, amongst many others. He is equally comfortable in building an effective warm up set, as he is in delivering the quality driving tunes during peak time!
His ability to keep the clubbers feet driven firmly to the floor sees him headlining the monthly club night ‘+dB’ at Zirca, where he recently, single-handedly played a successful 7 hour set, a feat not many DJs can do in recent years. Never afraid to cross boundaries and take new paths, this nu-trance purveyor weaves seamlessly the sounds of techno, melodic and tech-trance all into one wicked, cutting edge, sonic mayhem.
Taking his skills on to the international front, Effen made nothing but noise when he was selected to play at Malaysia's leading dance festival, 2 Days of Freedom 2009, making him the only DJ from Asia playing on the main stage alongside Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, tyDi & Above & Beyond.
As one of the few producers coming from Singapore, his releases has received support from the highly respected US 1 DJ Christopher Lawrence, Adam White and many other DJs worldwide. 2009 is looking to be an even massive year for Effen, with more productions already due for release, as well as more regional & international appearances!
