Efeks is a South London born MC who has been honing his skills since the age of 15.
Brought up on early nineties Hip Hop, he knew as soon as he memorised the lyrics to LL Cool J's 'Mamma Said Knock You Out' that his destiny would be found on the microphone.
After writing and rehearsing material in the confines of his bedroom for several years, he finally decided to take his talent to the listening public, and after tearing down open mic nights and talent show cases.Efeks emerged as an MC to look out for.
In 2003 he formed the group 'Prose' with his producer partner Steady and the pair have since released two EP's: 'Wasted Talent', 'Running Man', plus two volumes of their 'Boom Bap Bootleg' series, and are about to drop their long awaited debut LP 'Force Of Habit' on their own Boom Bap Professionals label.
Efeks has performed live extensively throughout the UK, gaining him a reputation as a force to be reckoned with. He has performed on CHoice FM's world famous 'Friday Nite Flavas' show, hosted by DJ 279, and most recently played London's Jazz Cafe, supporting Philly legends 'Jedi Mind Tricks'.
As well as being one half of 'Prose', Efeks is an artist in his own right and has collaborated with artists such as: Keith Lawrence, Manage, Crusada, Pat D, Lady Paradox, Funky DL, Spee 69, and the Peoples Army.
Efek's future projects include: an EP with producer Pat D, a new 'Prose' LP, and a long awaited solo LP.
