Ed Self Band

After some years of banging around East Coast bar and club scenes, NYC/Orlando transplant Ed Self is doing better than ever. Its amazing to see all of your hard work pay off and get you somewhere. And it is, as he plays a relentless schedule of shows (over 200 a year) around Central Florida and beyond to support his first independent release, "Stumbling Around." It hit airwaves in May'04 and was produced by Multi-Grammy and Platinum Record making Lee Peterzell. (Neil Young, Kansas, Tim McGraw) "Ed is just so talented, it's a refreshing thing to hear and see."



The band consists of Central Florida's very best. Powerful low end bass massages and explodes from David Morrissette, a once touring stage manager for Bad Company, backed by the the thunderous impact and originality of Randy Coole on drums,with Roger Docking on Multi. Most recently, the Ed Self Band beat out over 2000 other bands in the Emergenza international music competition and they are participating in the Zippo Hot Tour, the "Independant Music World Series," the "Acoustic Hero" competition, as well as the "Florida Music Festival," in which they were a Showcasing Artist and were selected for inclusion on the 2006 FMF compilation CD. (15,000 units) They also have received over 50 awards from Budweiser True Music's Garage Band.com and were asked to participate in clear channels "New," a major effort to expose promising unsigned talent.



Originally, the band was put together to support Stumbling Around, yet they seem to have found an amazing sound and stride of their own. Just having finished their sophomore release, they are performing "cover gigs" to subsidize their touring. People have described their sound as Something you just have to hear for yourself. With nods of support and endorsements from Fender, Guitar Center, D'addario, Budweiser True Music, and others who have been known to dance on tables at the bands shows, these guys are surely working hard, to bring their brand, of unpretentious, catchy acoustic jam rock, to you and yours
