“From great adversity comes great success”. Oakland, California has contributed to the Hip Hop culture with artist such as Too Short, The Luniz, MC Hammer, the late Tupac Shakur and R&B artists Keyshia Cole .Now Eddi Projex stands in the forefront to represent East Oakland.



Eddi p’s lyrical style and ever-flowing format was heavily influenced by Numskull of The Luniz

And Money B of Digital Underground. Eddi Projex was given the opportunity to tour with Numskull and Digital Underground at the age of sixteen. Eddi p’s talent was recognize by Oakland Icon Money B, he decided to put him on stage as his hype man after watching Eddi p freestyle backstage. Eddi p was a natural on stage ,so “The Luniz and Digital Underground decided to take him on tour hyping crowds and venues in New York, Los Angeles and throughout the U.S.



In 2001 Eddi formed the rap trio “The Hittaz on da Payroll”. Together they released two well-received albums in Oakland’s Underground rap scene. “Underground Like Dead People, PT. 1” then released “Ghetto Storm: Presented by Numskull of the da Luniz in the same year. Eddi p having experienced touring with Bay Area legends and creating two successful albums with the group, Hittaz On da Payroll; was finally ready for the ultimate artist decision. He was ready to showcase himself as a solo artist. Eddi gathered all his knowledge and experience and dropped, “Eddi Projex Presents: Oakland Street Music, Vol. I” which re-introduced him as a solo artist.



Eddi Projex also got big recognitions when he was featured on the song “Drank-A-Lot” featuring his mentors Money b and Numbskull was a big success. The video was the number 3 video on BET’s popular video show, Uncut Top Ten Videos. “Drank-A-Lot” gave the rest of the country an insight into Bay Area artists. This landmark video reached the number 3 position behind hit makers 50 Cents with “Disco Inferno” at the number 2 position and Nelly’s “Tip Drill” video at

Number 1 position. Eddi had now exposed himself to a larger audience and he was a cool breath of fresh air.



Eddi Projex has obtained a successful career, which is only the beginning. His new solo album,

“Now or Never” was the next step on Eddi’s successful path. The radio hits “On Like Me” and “Breezy as Ever” took the radio by storm, getting massive spins & support by local radio stations 106.1 kmel and wild 94. 9. The fans responded highly towards Eddi’s radio success and embraced him as the new star of the Bay. Eddi Projex Solo album “Now Or Never” was very successful which hosted 5 songs that got played on 106.1 kmel. That set Eddi Projex apart & proved he could make Hit Records and is a force to be reckoned with in the industry. --He also has been featured on remix songs with local artist such as Beeda Weeda “Turfs UP remix”, V-White “Oakland”, Laroo “20 bricks remix” and Sean Paul from the Young bloodz “That’s wasp” that also are getting radio play on 106.1 kmel



Even Though he began getting radio spins after the Hyphy movement began to die off, that gave Eddi an edge. This showed the bay area audience he was not a hyphy rapper and introduced them to the other side of the hyphy movement, the Mainstream world didn’t know about. That was Oakland’s infamous Underground Mob Music that’s been around for decades. Even Though Eddi Projex tones down his lyrics for the radio, he still makes music for the streets and really makes you visualize Oakland’s poverty and trials and tribulations.



Though he has been compared to Tupac, T.I and Young Jeezy, Eddi’s abilities and talents secure his individuality in Hip Hop. Eddi Projex embodies the surrealism of hip-hop. His pure and urban rhyme scheme entices and captures the listeners. From his deceitfully clever hip hop metaphors to his easy-going “Cadillac” classics, to his poetic street tales, Eddi Projex is destine to be among side by side with the Great MC’s in the hip-hop industry and is on his way to a successful career.
