EchoDrive is a Quad City area hard rock band.

Echodrive was formed in June of 2002 by Scott Engeman and Juston Vermost, who had just split from the band Concealed Paranoia along with fellow band mate and friend Matt McConville on Bass. After Cody Ristau's band Dumbfounded had disbanded in late 2001, he was looking for the right group of people to share his musical interests with. The first time this foursome jammed together, things clicked instantly.

Echodrive was playing shows by late 2002 around the Quad City area and instantly developed a following. Echodrive continued to evolve throughout 2003, switching between guitarists Scott and Josh Mayo. Scott was eventually the permanent guitarist, and the lineup of Cody, Scott, Matt, and Juston wrote material and played shows furiously.

In 2004, Matt was married to his longtime girlfriend in a wonderful celebration that consisted of the whole band being in the wedding party. Matt also had another two surprises, twin boys on the way! After much soul searching, Matt decided to leave Echodrive to focus on raising his family, a decision that his band mates accepted and supported.

In need for a bassist, the band went scouting throughout the area. While attending a Black Dahlia Murder concert at Quad City Live, their friends band Bled the Light was the opening act. Bled the Light consisted of former Concealed Paranoia band mates and bassist Zack Sullivan. While talking at the bar, Cody and Juston told Zack how they were looking for a bassist for an upcoming show and Zack offered his services as a temporary bassist.

A show in July of 2004 saw Bled the Light and Echodrive co-headline at Quad City Live in Davenport, IA. This featured Zack playing bass for two full sets in a row, and was ultimately Bled the Lights last show. Not long thereafter, Zack was added to the bands full time lineup and together, wrote new material for a Demo CD. In January 2005, Echodrive recorded their three song Demo CD at Real Trax Recording Studio in Davenport, IA.

Having played only 3 shows in 2004, Echodrive burst back onto the Quad City music scene in March 2005, playing at gigs on both sides of the river. Echodrive tore through the Quad Cities and the surrounding area in a mad blaze of sonic fury. The release of their three song demo CD catapulted Echodrive into being one of the premier hard rock acts of the Quad Cities music scene. In July 2005, Echodrive was interviewed as the featured band on 97 Rock's QC Rockers, a program dedicated to local artists. They have performed for thousands of people, amid the 19 shows they played in 2005 alone. They have headlined local venues such as Lumpy's, Winner's Circle, Del's in the District, and the now defunct Quad City Live.

2005 also brought forth the debut of their website: www.echodriverocks.com. Echodrive also created a Myspace page: www.myspace.com/echodriverocks. Between the two sites, over 5,000 people have visited these sites in less than a year!!

2006 marks the fifth year of Echodrive's existence. In one form or another, Echodrive has evolved into a very hard working band, and truly appreciates everyone who has helped get them to the point they are at today. They have forged friendships with most every band from the Quad City area, and the fans keep flocking to see them.

So, what does 2006 hold in store for Echodrive? In January 2006, Echodrive returned to Real Trax to record their first full length album, "Sincerely Yours". The album was released on September 30 at their c.d. release party at Barney Korner in Geneseo, IL. Echodrive plans to keep at it, writing new material and playing shows. In late Summer 2006, Echodrive plans to take their music to greater surrounding areas, such as Chicago, Peoria, Madison, Milwaukee, Iowa City, ect. From there, only time will tell
