From the beginning Dysfunctional Mariachi has seem to defy the odds and stun fans with songs and live performance's that rival many major acts today. With a sound and determination that comes across like a steel blade, D.M. has honed their craft into a killing machine. Over the past several years D.M. steadily kept afloat amongst the Chicago local scene.
Since 2004 the foundation of their core sound remains prominent and yet cleverly stands the test of time. With their latest effort the new disc reveals a sound that is heavy yet seamlessly approachable from track to track with a few unexpected twists, exercising elements of primal drums, heavy guitars and intoxicating melodies. Unyielding to popular musical trends D.M.'s unique musical blend unveils a slew of eclectic influences that range in a variety of avenue's from Slipknot, Soulfly, Sevendust, Mudvayne and the Deftones, with a a splash of tequila shot every now and then. Because of this unique musical range, which refuses to pigeon hold the band into one genre, fans and critics alike are responding with rave reviews.
