Dynamite has an energetic hip-hop style that led him to be selected over other acts nation wide, to perform on B E T's Teen Summit talent showcase, where he performed an original composition entitled "Trendsetta."
After B E T, Dynamite was able to beat out thousands of acts to become a top ten regional finalist for Motown records talent showcase in Cleveland, OH. Following his success with Motown, he was named Rap Artist of the Year at the African-American Award Show sponsored by WAMO radio in Pittsburgh, PA. Dynamite was also a winner at the Annual WAMO talent showcase. Ironically, Dynamite became a member of the WAMO on-air staff, and began pursuing a career path in radio, which led him to other radio stations across the country.
However, Dynamite's traveled road to success came full circle from rap to radio, to radio back to rap. Since returning to the Hip-hop game, Dynamite has shared the stage with national recording artists Wyclef, Black Moon, Smif-N-Wessun, Ja-Rule and Ashanti, and has been featured on several mix tape cd's such as "The Steel City Massacre Mix tape"(2005), and the "Steeltown Sounds mix tape"(2007).
After releasing his debut album "One Mic Stand"(2006), which sold overseas in Japan, UK, and Australia, the Songwriters' Association of Washington presented Dynamite with a FINALIST AWARD at the 23rd Annual Mid-Atlantic Song Contest (2007), and again at the 25th Annual Mid-Atlantic Song Contest (2008). Dynamite was aslo a FINALIST, in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition (2008).
Recently, Dynamite has showcased the Millennium Music Conference (2008,2009), and is working on his new upcoming album "Beast Mode" while performing at venues along the east coast.
