D WISE

"MUSICA ES MI VIDA" - Dennis Colon, a.K.a, "D WISE," was born in Chicago on April 3rd,1983. He has lived most of his life in the heart of Humboldt Park and is a graduate of Roberto Clemente High School. After his graduation, he temporarily moved to Manati, Puerto Rico to spend time with family and friends.
"D WISE" began his musical career very early in his life. He takes his craft very seriously and strives for perfection. His influences were a broad range of hip hop artists as well as the early star/founders of Reggaeton. At the age of 15 DWise started rapping/singing Reggaeton on street corners, clubs, and anywhere he could showcase his talent. At this age is where D WISE took his passion and made it his profession.
"D WISE" produces his own music - taking beats that he created in the lab and spitting out lyrics he personally writes. He has also produced for other local artists here in Chicago as well as all over the country including Puerto Rico. In reality all of this hard work over the years has paid off. DWise took first place at the CHICAGO LATIN MUSIC AWARDS 2005 for "BEST REGGAETON ARTIST". He also is no stranger to the hip hop world. He has worked with JOHNNY P, CAP 1,BEN ONE and many others.
But then D WISE caught the eye of producer/label executive RUDY ACOSTA from THE LEGION RECORDS- a distributed label under WEA CORP/ in association with ATLANTIC RECORDS. They collaborated in 2006 to produce a track for Chicago's very own DO OR DIE called "ROCK YO BODY" in which he is featured as a guest artist. D-WISE has performed on the same stage with such stars as: DADDY YANKEE, DON OMAR, TEGO CALDERON, ZION Y LENNOX, WISIN Y YANDEL,IVY QUEEN y Khriz y Angel,BABY RANKS & GRUPO XTREME.
D-Wise ,also looks forward to opening his own record label and collaborating with and many others. D-WISE represents everything that is of his home town of CHICAGO and his culture. He's planning on taking his music to every corner of this planet! Don't miss out.
