Dubwise

Dubwise is a hard-edged roots reggae band from Jacksonville, FL. Our music is influenced by the lives we have led, the experiences we've had and the people who we encounter. Most importantly, all our music is created for the Most High, Our Rightful Ruler JAH Rastafari. To speak in a righteous language means that the lyrics must always be CONSCIOUS. Dubwise feels there is no harder music than conscious music, no matter what style one chooses to play. Jah gave us the power of music, so we must use it and not abuse it.

Dubwise's message is about positivity, albeit sometimes in an iconoclastic sense. Sometimes to build, one must destroy. Sometimes to learn, one must forget what was taught. Their music means to make one think, to open one's eyes. They haved opened for such acts as The Toasters, State Radio, George Clinton, and Kendra Foster.
