If there's one artist that major A&R'S want to work with it's D' Shawn Mic. Contacts from Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records Records, and even with Grand Hustle CEO wife Tiny wanting to help Shawn to progress with the next step in life. This young up & coming artist from the D.C./Maryland area has already caught people's attention and now he's about to take over the music game even more with his first album due in 2009. With Diddy's ambition and now being a real solo artist he is sure that he will make it somewhere within the next 4 years no matter what happens. With his diversity he will get very far in the industry from record deals, fashion shows, commercials, to movies, will endless opportunities. Mic has also released 11 mixtapes, and continued to stayed on the Washington D.C. myspace charts for over 5 different genres. In March 2009 Shawn stated that he will take every opportunity that comes his way no matter what.

In 2008 he has audition for Disney Channel and independent films in the DMV area also known as D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. In 2009, D Shawn Mic will audution for more shows including reality shows to hope to get his big break. Acting was D Shawn Mic's first love with music as his life. D Shawn first started acting in 2002 in a class play "Who Shot Who" and since then he loves acting and has been lead roles in every class play since then.

Talented is not the only thing that makes D Shawn open many doors but also his mind for business. His clothing line "DeSean Lawrence" shows an sexy model approach to fashion while still being looked at a Lady or an Gentlemen. His efforts were recognized in 2008 when he was awarded the " Outstanding Business Award" for being the Entrepreneur with potiental. Additionally, Shadwick is planning to launched his first fragrance, later this year along with his new record label Diamond Destiny Entertainment.
