Dr. Something & the Pipin’ Hot Love Engines

Dr. Something & the Pipin’ Hot Love Engines are a post-electric quintet performing folky songs about science fiction, technology and modern life on the following lo-tech instruments: guitar, banjo, upright bass, varying percussive devices and sometimes accordion and clarinet. Featuring rich vocal harmonies and counterpoint, Dr. Something & the Pipin’ Hot Love Engines create a catchy sound heavily influenced by tin pan alley jazz, sixties pop, old time and traditional ballads. Dr. Something & the Pipin’ Hot Love Engines consist of vocalist/guitarist/accordionist/clarinetist Alison Dennis (Coney Island Cartel), banjo slinger David Percy(The Lazy Champions), upright bassist Matt Batchelder(The Lazy Champions), drummer Sean Welsh(The Lazy Champions) and vocalist/percussionist Erika Garlock.
