Dr. Richie Kimble is a versatile producer and artist with a distinctive style. Listing such influences as The Rza, DJ Premier, The Neptunes, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, and Jimmy Hendrix, Kimble master’s an eclectic style, incorporating live instruments with electronic production to cultivate a rich new sound no matter the genre. Kimble is a producer of award winning caliber, whose versatility and original talent compliment all styles of music and production. As an artist himself, he is invested in the success of the artists he works with and tirelessly devotes his time into coupling the artists’ sound with his own unique style to produce award winning quality with a fresh twist.

Kimble was born and raised in Cambridge, MA, where he attended the Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School. As a student at C.R.L.S. Kimble was able to take advantage of the music courses offered through the Arts Department, and develop his own course at the school entitled “Synthesizer Productions”. He also was selected as the first African American Hip-Hop artist in the Omega Sci-Phi nationwide talent search, at the time having produced over 3,000 beats. Kimble built his own studio in 1999, and in 2002 he and his brother Pilz started the independent record label Embryo Music. Kimble currently is the head producer, head engineer and CEO/co-founder of Embryo Music. In the 2006 and 2007 New England Urban Music Awards Kimble was not only nominated for producer of the year, but produced the best female R&B/Rap album of the year, which also won the best female rap album of the year in the 2006 and 2007 Boston Hip-Hop Awards. A focused artist, producer and business man, Kimble moved from Cambridge, MA to Baltimore, MD in the summer of 2006 to expand his music enterprise, where he continues to run Embryo Music and is currently engaged in various projects from musical to cinematic.
