D-RICH

Born in 1982; D-RICH, known to family & close frieds as Derrick Smith was always fascinated by hip-hop. He always thought of it as a culture or lifestyle rather than just an art form. Comming up in school, he would always be an on-looker in the cafeteria as his friends freestyled during lunch. This was the normal routine during middle & high school. D-RICH never attempted to join in, he had been an athlete his whole life, playing football since the age of 5. After begining college at Middle Tennessee State University, numerous run-ins with the law & grades eventually led to his dismissal from the team & later the university. After years of not knowing what his life would become & later having a son, he got in touch with a close childhood friend, "Tha Wild 1", who owned a recording studio "Str8-Raw Productions", along with fellow rap partner "Fiz". After hanging out at the studio day in & day out, Wild asked D-RICH if he wanted to make a song. At first D was reluctant, even though he had a way of expressing himself well, but was eventually talked into it. After recording the song Tha Wild 1 let Fiz listen to it, & after having a short sitdown asked RICH to join their rap group "Dirty Boiz". The trio went on to record numerous unreleased tracks & are still in the process of working on an album. The three artist are also working on side projects, albums & mixtapes so i guess you can say D-RICH & his Dirty Boiz counterparts arent satisfied until the whole world feels the "Dirty Movement"
