In most cases if the music in the player doesn't catch your attention you don't even begin to read this far down.

Lets keep it real. Im not one to talk about myself for extended lengths of time BUThere's alittle background info on me. As a Baby my Crib sat on the speakers to my mom's stereo system. Each night my little infant mind was filled w/ the vibrations of Earth Wind and Fire, Hall and Oates, Rod Stewart, George Benson, Billy Joel, Steeley Dan, Peter Frampton, The Temptations, ect.and many other tasty artists. I began playing the drums at the age of 4 but quit when my instructor and i didn't share the same vision(i needed to be on that silver drumset from day one dawg !!! Not this black and white practice pad). At age 9 an announcement was made at school for those interested in playing musical instruments. Not passing up any opportunity to leave class i left, taking my time as still do( some call it procrastinating), entering the library to find the only remaining instrument not chosen, The Trumpet. I continued to play the trumpet in various classically based wind ensembles around North West Indiana until the age of 15 when i transferred to public school. Upon being in public school for a week my Trumpet was stolen and I began to tinker w/ the piano. ( If You're still reading, God Bless you ) This led to the formation of my first musical group in Gary, Indiana w/ Harold Wallace and Marcus Evans called the Gary Jazz Whiz Kids (we didnt pick the name). My love for Jazz was born and led to numerous gigs around the Gary, Indiana/Chicago Area.this led to a music scholarship to attend Hampton University.which fazed out its Jazz program in my sophomore year.which led to me playing keyboards for another 5 years w/ The Fuzz Band and the "Fuzzy Wednesday's Open Mic"which led to my interest in music production.which led to me receiving a full music scholarship to attend UDC in 2002.which led to me participating in Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead where I got to play w/ Winard Harper, John Clayton, Carmen Lundy, Curtis Fuller, Nathan Davis and Jimmy Owensthis leading to my current position as an adjunct professor in UDC's Jazz Studies Dept. I love all music and like Ray Charles strive to tap into the soul of whatever form of music i'm inspired to create or perform. My main goal for being on myspace is to get so many friends that i don't recognize any of them and begin to leave meaningless "stock-card" comments on their pages.LoL
