Dreaming In Stereo, a pop-rock band based out of the western suburbs of Chicago, lives up to its namesake – a dream to make an impact on the world and spread the music to anyone willing to listen

In the fall of 2006, lead singer, Brandon Stereo (formerly of Armitage and Beneath The Blue), created the namesake of Dreaming In Stereo to represent his solo project. After a few shows and meeting with producer (and long-time friend) Chuck Macek, his desire to hit the stage with a full electric band came back, and the journey began.

Beginning in the fall of 2007, Dreaming In Stereo began to make a presence in the Chicago music scene by playing with big acts such as 'Lucky Boys Confusion', 'Play Radio Play!', 'Dropping Daylight', 'You, Me, And Everyone We Know', 'The Year After', and 'Danger Is My Middle Name'. They released their first recorded 4-song EP as well, and their hits “Sweet” and “Honestly” held regular airtime on Q101’s Local 101 program.

As is the case with all bands, it took a bit of a search and hard work to find the perfect members and camaraderie that Dreaming In Stereo is known for today. In the early summer of 2008, Brandon contacted longtime friends and fellow Downers Grove natives Scott Marek (on guitar and vocals) and Jason Smolinski (on bass) to join the project. Within a matter of days, the ideal lineup fell into place with a phone call to Indiana native, Andrew Adam, who joined the project on guitar. Adam brought with him fellow Indiana native, Kevin O’Hara, who offered his stick-tricking talents to the band on drums.

Dreaming In Stereo appeals to music fans of all ages and types. Influences range from Jack’s Mannequin, to We The Kings, to Over It, and new songs are constantly being written with each member contributing their own flavor to the sound. Dreaming In Stereo is currently in the studio recording their next EP which is yet to be named.
