Drain the Lake

Drain the Lake spawned from the mind of 2 metal guitarists, who began writing riffs last year and needed to unleash them on the world. Armed with an arsenal of face-melting riffs, the two enlisted the help of a drummer with similar influences and ambitions. They began rehearsing and writing after hours in a fish and chip shop. After a while, they found a bassist and things took on a new direction.



They began mixing various influences with their own style and generally fucking things up beyond repair. Drawing from the un-comprimising heaviness of the current American metalcore scene and mixing this with the technicality of math-grind bands like Dillinger Escape Plan, Drain the Lake aimed to push the boundaries of UK metal. Finding a vocalist was relatively easy, the first person to try out quickly fitted in and they are now working on the final track of their 11 song album and started to distribute their 3 track demo. They are currently playing as many gigs as possible, and will be planning a tour in the new year.
