On September 12, 1985 Dennis Porter Sr. and Deborah Lucas-Porter gave birth to Dennis Gene Porter Jr, and he started out on his journey to artistic discovery. His father was a avid guitarist and soon imparted his love for music on his son, at the same time his mothers sketch book became a frequently visited area for Dennis' pencil. At the age of 13 Dennis took up the piano, and joined the Symphonic and Marching Bands at Cass Technical High School. Under the tutelage of Sharon Allen, the Director of Bands he learned the theory and foundation that he uses to this day as a producer. It wasn't until he reached college that his love for design and visual art culminated into something as solid as the music. At the age of 17, Dennis entered the University of Michigan for Computer Science Engineering. In that first year, he found where he could use the eye for design that he had honed sketching and designing hobby websites in high school. Earning A's on his first exams in computer engineering, calculus, and chemistry it seemed that Dennis had found the path. However, as his entrepreneurial drive grew he spent more and more time honing his skill as a Web Developer. In 2005, he left Michigan to do web design full time.

In 2007, tragedy struck. Dennis was diagnosed with Whipple's disease and suffered 2 strokes and a heart attack. He had to undergo 3 major surgeries and lost the ability to talk for weeks. Ever resilient, and after months of physical and speech therapy, Dennis immediately started Do WYLD! (a web/marketing firm) as soon as he physically could. The brush with death taught him to pursue his dreams relentlessly, because tomorrow is not promised. Teaming up with lifelong friend and college roomate, Tony Saunders II, one of their first projects was a statewide promotion and website deal with McDonald's Specialty Coffees (The contract was renewed for 2008). Soon after his company began to provide marketing strategies for Kaplan Prep, and recently the Princeton Review. Dennis has designed for the Midwest's finest including Detroit's Studio Couture, Mark England, Charles Pugh, and the Chicago Football Classic.

His music hasn't taken a back seat, though. Although his musical works have yet to be released on a national scale, he's produced and recorded unreleased songs with Trey Songs, Lil' Mo, and Ron Eisley. His presence at Live the Music Group is nothing short of destiny as this is the first project that he's been able to use both his musical and design talents to their fullest extent. Never ceasing in his pursuit of excellence the music, fashion, and entertainment industries are sure to be influenced by his creativity (one way or another) for years to come.
