Innovative hip hop production and turntablism combined with guest emcees.



Down Under Beats has been through many incarnations and has recently come full circle to return to a production duo consisting of DJ's Platterpush and Codeks.



Origionally starting of as a production partnership of two brothers Down Under Beats began working with emcees Immune, 13th Son, Joe New and Dialectrix in 2002.

This work with emcees lead to the relase of a collaborative albulm 'HipHoperation' in 2004.



Dow Under Beats won the Triple J rado 'Unearthed' competition around in 2004, which resulted in high rotation air play and extensive touring.

Gradually what started out as collaboration of artists began to form into a group but this also lead to the departure of emcee Immune from the crew in 2005 as their was both personal and creative differnces between the emcees at the time.



The second Down Under Beats album 'Under Raps' was released in late 2006, whilst it did'nt quite receive the same commercial sucsess as the debut album it received far more critical acclaim and respect from fans.



Once again a combination of personal and creative differnces have played their part in reshaping Down Under Beats into what is now a production team consisting of the founding two members DJ's Platterpush and Codeks. Down Under Beats Continues to work with many of the countries finest emcees and have also began writting a lot more instrumental music as well as beats for other artists. Look out for production on Immunes Solo Joint due out later this year.



Down Under Beats have played alongside some of the finest International and Australian Hip Hop acts such as De La Soul (USA), Omni (USA), DJ Revolution (USA), Lotek (UK), Mystro (UK), , DJ MK (UK), MC Eternia (Canada), Def Wish Cast, Urth Boy, Bliss N Eso, Milkbar Stars (Pegz, Muph n Platonic, DJ Bonez), Celsius, Reason, Koolism, TZU, Hermitude, Morganics, Cat Empire .
