2009 : The concert MUSIQUE contre NOURRITURE in support of the BANQUE ALIMENTAIRE de TOURAINE (with the bands ADRANA & ANKSYLION) at Donald's Pub (Tours) was a great succes.
This year 2009 will see the split (unfortunately) of the band, but after the release of a last virtual MCD which will contains the whole live track-list (9 titles).
Moreover, a last gig will be played (before the end of the year 2009), live-recorded and filmed (multi-caméra) in order to release a virtual DVD.



2008 : the 3 songs MCD « MMVII » is released the 10th of june - in free download on this website and on our Myspace .
Since 2007 was the rebirth year for DOUCE MORPHINE, 2008 is the blossoming year.

2007 : The premixed song « La Dernière Chandelle mmvii » is available for free download before the release of a new virtual MCD « MMVII ».
This 5 titles MCD « MMVII » will be released in the end of septembre - for free download via the official website or on the Myspace page of the band.
New members : Simon (drums) in february, Paul (guitar) in may. The rehearsals becomes more intensive with the new quintet (Flore, Matthieu, Paul, Simon, Yann).
Note : Thomas (guitar) came into the band between february and may.
2006 : Line-up change : Guillaume (drums) joins the band in april between april and september. Rémi (bass since 2003) left the band in june. Yann (bass) takes his place.
The album « Du Mal de Vivre » is reedited in june after several months of sold out.
During the following months, the trio (Flore, Matthieu Yann) works on the new musicale evolution in order to release the expected « Cicatrices ».
September 2005 : Clément left the band because he wanted to devote his time to his studies and Sylver Cycle, his first band. Douce Morphine began a period of composition and thought about the future album of the trilogy : « Cicatrices ».
2005 : We wanted keep the feeling of the months we passed in quartet with a demo : « Des Mots ». We played some of the songs we played on stage during the year 2004 and one new song composed for the next album « Cicatrices ». « Des Mots » is an achievment of almost 2 years of the life of a renewed band. The maxi has a very professional production.
The band played in some gigs this year.
2004 : Release of the album « Du Mal de Vivre » mastered in december 2003. First gigs of the quartet which played the songs of the album in powerfuller versions. The songs are re-arranged to suit to the new band.
2003 : release of the demo of the album « Du Mal de Vivre » which served to contact the labels.
Rémi (basse) and Clément (drums) came in the band in july. The maxi « Spleen » was released in september.
2002 : production of the album « Du Mal de Vivre » that ended in february 2003.
2001 : recording the demos « Douce Morphine » (july) and « Coeur Sombre » (october).
We began the work on the album « Du Mal de Vivre ». The duet played few gigs.
October 2000 : Creation of the project Douce Morphine by Matthieu (guitar, programmations, vocals) and Flore (vocals). This project is a synthesis between ametaphorical vision of Nature, reflection of all kind of feeling, Poetry, way of feelings, and an atmopherical metal that we called « spleen metal ».
