Megan Dooley is a Blues/rock Singer/songwriter from Kalamazoo Michigan. She has been playing locally and nationally for over 7 years, most recently with the band "Dooley Noted". After the band separated in 2011, Miss Dooley has continued playing solo shows and peeling paint of the walls with her powerful blues voice that has been compared to such great artists as Adele, Amy Winehouse, Fiona Apple, KT Tunstall, and Melody Gardot. With a unique rhythm guitar style compared to Jason Mraz and Ani difranco , Megan Dooley's infectious original songs and re-imagined covers make seeing her perform live an experience all it's own. Featured over 23 times in local magazines, papers, and entertainment guides all around MI, as well as radio performances and television interviews, Megan Dooley is a staple of the West Michigan music scene that has continually redefined her style of music, shows, and the experience of hearing her songs performed live.
Noise Magazine: "the Frontmen of West Michigan" had this to say about Megan Dooley:

Dooley Noted
Why she rocks: Dub her the first woman of Kalamazoo music if you want (among many of the other honorary titles she's been pegged with over the years), but the truth is she's one of the best bar none. Whether she's kicking it solo style of joined by her band Dooley Noted, Megan Dooley has always kept it real and writes relatable music, performing it in the same way.
"For any given length of a set, I am more myself than any other aspect of my life," Dooley said. "I have the freedom to express myself and be exactly who I am when I'm on stage. I guess you could say that the crowd stokes me up, and then I send it right back. They can see how much fun I'm having and it loosens them up, too. It's a reciprocal thing."

After a short run release of her solo album "Velvet Vicegrip" in Dec '07, Megan Dooley quickly released her first full length LP "Edible Audibles" in 2008 with Tommy Ufkis and Stacy Koviak (Of Dooley Noted) sitting in on the album as session players. The musicians gelled instantly and the band was officially formed. 2009 brought the release of the first live album featuring the "actual" band in it's entirety (including the wonderful Chris Miroslaw) on lead guitar. After a year of countless shows, Festivals, and concerts, "Live @ KPL" was released in December and captures the true feeling and energy of this band's infectious live shows and is exactly what fans of DN know and love about their music!

Dooley Noted is endorsed by ProCo Sound - an honor they received in 2009.

A video of "Between Bars" by Kirk Latimer of Kinetic Affect. I collaborated with them for their last show "Speak it Forward" and this was one of our favorite pieces I wrote music for.

More "Speak it Forward" footage- this was the opening of the show.
