I am a Christ-follower, husband, father, pastor and singer/songwriter. In the '80's, I quit seminary to become a rock star! OK, I only succeeded in my own mind! I connected with a buddy I had met in seminary, Paul Robinett, and we moved to Nashville. My old Shreveport buddy, Tom Greer moved with us. We all skeezed our way into Christopher Wyant's apartment. Paul went on to co-found the Walter Eugenes (with another friend, Rick May). He then went on to become the infamous Renetto on Youtube. Tom went on to become a computer guru-geek. Christopher went on to become Hayseed, an eclectic bluegrass performer. After the Walter Eugenes, Rick went on to become a hot session drummer and the great Mayday of DC Talk fame. We were all ex-pentecostal church-junkies (of one stripe or another). Because of hypocrisy and duplicity, we turned our back on the religion of our youth. I think we just awoke to our own shallowness and frailty and it shook us to the foundation! Like Neo, we were now unplugged! Anyhow, the result was temporary insanity! We all went nuts! We are all still in touch and have some great laughs about this era!

In 1989, I married my lovely wife, Valerie. Ironically, she had quit seminary, too, and joined our freaky gang! Somehow, through all of our confusion and bitterness, God reached in and touched us. We still don't really understand His grace, but we know we've been touched by it!

In the '90's, Valerie and I began traveling around the country presenting what God had shown us. It was crazy! During that decade, we had three awesome kids and saw God touch a bunch of lives.

Then, in 1998, Valerie and I, along with our three kids, Caleb, Lizzie and Alexander, started Way of Life Church in Bel Air, Maryland (Check them out: www.mywayoflife.org - they rock!). Somewhere around 1999 or 2000, I began to play in a few Baltimore area coffeehouses. It was like a breath of fresh air. I hadn't done cool, guitar oriented, relevant music in a long time. I guess, I hadn't done that since I was a young, wannabe rock star in Nashville back in the 80's.

After we left Bel Air, we moved to Covington, Louisiana to work with Pastors Rick and Donna Maricelli and The Pentecostals of Lee Road. Wow! What a God-thing that was! They are some of the most amazing people on the planet! They recognized something in me and tapped it! That's where my music really got "released"! They did it! It was amazing! My heart will always beat a little faster when I talk about those days!

Then, we moved to Ruston, Louisiana (home of LA Tech) and based out of Church of the Apostles. I had a blast there, experimenting with formats and style and just hanging with my longtime buddy, Jim Oddo (we wrote some tunes together there). I also recorded my first album with Church of the Apostles' help and encouragement. What an awesome group of individuals!

After a lot of serious touring, singing, preaching - doing my thing - me and the fam have finally settled down in the Baton Rouge area (home of LSU). We're planting LifePoint Church. It's in it's team-building stage, now, and we'll launch BIG TIME this fall!

I have a wife who loves and supports me; I have 3 wonderful kids who are my band; I am surrounded by some of the coolest, smartest, most loving people ever and God is good!

Thank you Jesus!

We are currently working on our next album, which will probably be released early next year. Sorry for the delay! In the meantime, keep on listening to my other album Most Beautiful, and check out these pics from the studio!
