The most talented singer/songwriter you have never heard of goes by the name of Dominic. Born and bred in New Jersey, honing his musical chops within the soulful sounds of Philadelphia, Dominic has gained notice for his smooth hooks on hip hop tracks. Although he is fluent in crafting a hook for a hit rap song his talents stretch far greater. In his more recent musical direction the R&B artist has created Dance and Soulful Pop tracks. "I'll always love R &B, it's just a part of me at the same time I have to grow and evolve. You know what they say the only thing constant is change…" Having just released his album "Hear Me Now" filled with up-tempo dance tracks and R&B love songs, Dominic goes on to say "This album is a wake up call to the industry. Kind of like 'hey I'm here" And the truth is I don't see the labels ignoring this man for long. With the number of major artists he's worked with from laying down hooks to tracks for Lil Wayne, Young Chris, Nu Jerzey Devil, The Game, and Joe Budden just to name a few. Dominic has adopted the moniker of "Mr.Unknown Somebody" as he simply states "I've worked with a number of Major artists and haven't seen any real money yet…" But not only does he gain notice for his hooks, he has also written hits with the platinum award winning writing team The Underdogs for Universal Motown upcoming artist London. And amongst these music greats he garners much respect; Damon Thomas of The Underdogs goes on to praise Dominic for his song writing ability and unmatched work ethic, "Hes deep…" Dominic had his first placement on Joe Budden's album "Padded Room" for the single "The Future". And it's only fitting as this seems to be a case of poetic justice since it is undeniable that Dominic is the future. From a young age Dominic's affection for music was developed growing up in New Jersey, with such a close proximity to Philadelphia he fell in love with the Philly Soul. He continued to sing garnering much attention from any and everyone that heard his music. At 18, he was given the opportunity to work at A Touch of Jazz music studio in Philadelphia, owned and operated by Dj Jazzy Jeff. As a wide eyed teenager he began to soak up the knowledge and experience from the tutelage of musical greats such as Boys II Men, Bilal, Music Soulchild, super producers Dre and Vidal, and of course Dj Jazzy Jeff. After graduating from school Dominic decided to pursue his dream and move to Los Angeles. He has made many contacts in the industry and continues to work with Damon Thomas's side of The Underdogs writing team in Brandon's Way Studio in Hollywood, owned by Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds. With the release of the album "Hear Me Now" it is expected to gain the attention of fans and record execs a like. Dominic has a few more placements on the way and is in the works of finalizing his Southern California promo tour. Keep a look out for him at your city.
