Depths of Chaos began in spring of 2003. Guitarist Ty Richardson met guitarist Darien Lohof through word of mouth and we began writing and rehearsing in our living rooms. We had an appreciation for traditional death metal (Suffocation, Morbid Angel, etc.) due to our friendship with local death metal band Harmony Corruption. You could definitely say we were spawned by their influence. After gaining a studio to practice in, we collaborated with a number of local musicians, including members of Harmony. We recorded a demo in late 2005/early 2006 with Dalton Wais. What you hear on the page presently was recorded by Logan Bennette of Halo of Gunfire in 2008. Local to the Central Coast of California, we try to play in our area often, yet itch to travel and gain new fans, meet new people, and play with new bands.
