When it comes to music, the essence of DJing is nothing new to Will Tobias b.k.a D.J. Will. He is no stranger to the club scene, celebrity bashes and any event that requires turntables. His professional career started in the early 90's and since then it has been skyrocketing all the way to the top. Also known as, "Da Bronx Bomber" Will is presently holding down a six day weekly schedule in New York City that is bursting at its seams. Clubs such as: The World Renowned Club NV, Lobby, Flow, Float, Exit, Roxy, Vue, Cheetah, Discothque, Door, BB- Kings, Club Deep, Society 5, Coda, Mission, Freight, Luhans, Noche, Spirit, Social Club, Aria, Octogon, Canal Room, Eugenes, Coral Room, Remote Lounge, Supper Club, Quo, Crobar & Show are just the icing on the cake. Holding down Club NV for, 8 1/2 years and still going strong. Can another DJ say the same? No. Virtually spinning at every major club in the New York City area, Will has also been well recognized in the college party scene. He has performed at many major universities such as Columbia, NYU, Fordham, Pace, U-Penn, Clark Atlanta, Spellmen, Morris Brown, MIT, University of Colorado, Boston College, Syracuse, St. Johns and the list goes on and on.
Putting New York aside, Will has provided his skill as an amazing club/party DJ to venues in other states and countries. Acknowledging that to be a good DJ, one should learn to adapt to the ever changing atmosphere of music, Will spins a variety of hip-hop, R&B, reggae, classics, salsa meringue, reggaeton & even rock. From the old school to the present, Will's turntable techniques have been witnessed in all the major party havens from, South Beach Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Virginia beach & Philadelphia, just to name a few. Will has been invited to Japan three times by DJ Clark Kent because of his exceptional talent as a DJ. Upon returning from his first trip, he was mesmerized to see that he was remembered and received as one of the crowd favorites. Expanding his horizons, DJ Will gratefully took up the opportunity to play in Brazil, London, Mexico, Jamaica, throughout the entire Caribbean and even the United Emirates.
Will's effort of hard work has not gone unnoticed. Always keeping his selection of music fresh and DJing skills up to near perfection has lead him to be selected for many Celebrity parties, benefits, weddings and album releases. Sean "P. Diddy" Combs-Hampton Party, Stephon Marbury- NBA Knicks Welcome Home Party, Russell Simmons, Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys-R&B Live, Fabolous, various Rocafella Release parties, 112, R. Kelly, Camron, TI, Keyshia Cole, Nicole Wray, Common, John Legend, Young Jeezy, Neyo, Busta Rhymes, Linkin Park, Chingy and various Hale House charity events are just part of the still growing list. One of his biggest highlights came when he was requested to DJ a huge wedding party for Stevie Wonder. Will quickly made a friend and has been called on to perform at several other occasions for Wonder and his family.
Proving that he has what it takes to make the crowd move, grasp their attention and keep them coming back for more, Will's efforts have not been overlooked. Given recognition and appearing on television shows such as BET Rapcity, Russell Simons' One World and NBA Inside Stuff. DJ Will has also been recognized in well-known magazines such as the VIBE, XXL, Felon, E Mixx Show, The Source, Party Zone, Zagat, Juice, Rap pages, Time Out and the New York Post-Page 6. Regardless if he's being interviewed on camera or words are being used to describe him, Will has been commended by the media for a job well done.
Da Bronx Bomber has been fortunate to be acknowledged for his talent. His management choices have been helpful by filling the mold in which direction his DJ career would go. Companies such as Gold A.M, X-Factah, Supermen Entertainment & Expressway Management played a helpful role in his early career, which in turn has lead him to join forces with Da Union/ MGMT INC. Management. This has empowered Will to utilize his passion in order to achieve his goals. Will has also made wise choices when it comes to selecting parties and the companies that promote them. Entertainment companies like Blackdiamonds, Tastemakers, Napolean, 9 Fingers, Stag Ent. 3rd Lane Ent & Keion, Black-light, , Chris AC, Insiders, Tony Byrd, IamNyc, Np3 Ent, MBK Round Da Clock, GM Productions, MCH Ent, Empire Entity, Nubian Gold, NBA Los, Coco, Reene Ent, Just Us, Easymoney, Mr Hefner, Ramsey Racing, Showcase Ent, Standfirm, Lorelei Events Etc. have all been beneficial to Will's plan for success.
Glancing into the future, Will has many plans for himself and his career. Having many goals in mind Will has decided to try his hands in production, artist development and hopefully a long career on radio (POWER 105.1). Being amongst the club scene for the past ten plus years, raw talented artists are ever present. DJ Wills ultimate desire was to employ a crew of skilled DJ's that would dominate the club scene and radio soundwaves nationwide. Surprisingly, his plans are coming to life with the formation of six of New Yorks top club djs coming together to form DA UNION. This extremely talented crew is responsible for 95 percent of the hottest party nights in New York City! Doing a world tour with a major music artist is also on his, "Things to Do" list. Wanting to conquer the unknown, Will's career is in full speed and shows no signs of slowing down. It's only a matter of time before he starts to see his career prosper and make his aspirations come true.
