DJ VilliN is a creative, gifted, turntablist that entertains crowds in the Phoenix and surrounding Hip-hop/Latino community, with amazing dj mixing and cutting skills.
Born in Phoenix, AZ to two illegal Mexican immigrant parents Dj VilliN was raised in maricachi/cumbia/banda music and dancing environments. Learning the trumpet at the age of 10 along with piano and musical notation and dictation it influenced the creative techniques Dj VilliN uses in mixtapes, clubs and hip hop shows seen today. I remember being like 8 or 9 years old and grabbing Vicente Fernandez vinyl and scratching it over some Fito Olivares cumbia songs, trying to recreate the early scratching heard in rock it and other early 90s late 80s songs, my parents used to get piiiiised hahahahha!
Some of the DJ's that inspired Dj VilliN to become a DJ are: Dj Rectangle, Dj Revolution, Dj Qbert, Dj Babu, Dj AL3, Dj Shy, Dj Frequency, Dj Meeklo, Dj Dragon, Dj Mike Sparks, Dj Trademark. After listening to these DJ's in action, collecting records became a big part of VilliNs life. Ever since DJ VilliN started his career as a DJ, he has held credit for many local club events, auto events around AZ and Mexico as well as being accepted to Power 92.3FM for the Caliente Power Mix Weekends.
To this day Dj VilliN has produced 7 Mixtapes and has assisted many AZ Djs in mixtape production and design.
