BIOGRAPHY:
I'm a multi-instrumentalist / songwriter / producer / DJ who records under the name Tyrrell but I'm also known for my collaborations with other producers, the most popular of which are HOOKED and Interfearence.
----------------------------------------------------------
MY BACKGROUND:
After succeeding in becoming one of the youngest, fastest and most pretentious guitarists ever accepted into the jazz program at Humber College in Toronto, Canada, I became restless and moved to London, UK where my new appreciation for more simple, catchy, repetitive music with mass appeal would land me in a job making tea in one of London's most cutting edge, underground (literally) dance music recording studios. As I was still young and hungry, graduating from teaboy to engineer then producer happened very quickly as I was thrown into sessions with Blue Pearl, The Orb, Youth, Steve Hillage & System 7, Richie Rich, A Guy Called Gerald, Baby Ford and the Stereo MCs. I recorded and mixed PM Dawn's first two albums (including 'Set Adrift On Memory Bliss') and co-produced Urban Species 'Listen'. For the rest of the nineties I worked with/for a host of other artists from: Marxman to Roni Size as well as with my then girlfriend, singer/songwriter Harri Lake with whom I wrote and recorded practically 4 albums worth of songs. By 1999 I was releasing music as an artist myself under the name Interfearence (see below) and then HOOKED (see below) as well as my own psuedonym, Tyrrell.

INTERFEARENCE:
Interfearence are/were Paul Martin (ex Talkin' Loud A&R supremo) and myself; we made two albums (Interfearence, ffrr 1999 and Take That Train, Ubiquity 2001) which received much critical acclaim and almost no sales. Oh well, it's better to be cool and unknown than a famous sell-out, isn't it? Isn't it?! Perhaps not then. Anyway, it was always about the music and I stand by it. Our single 'All Day' was included on the 'Human Traffic' soundtrack and can be heard in the background of the film during the scene in the kitchen at the after party when they're talking about Yoda and Darth Vader. Classic. We were also responsible for the theme song and background music for the TV show CD:UK which ran for over 7 years every Saturday morning on ITV in the UK. Believe it or not, I am the voice that whispered 'C.D.U.K.'. In addition to the two albums, we were asked to remix many varied artists:
Gotan Project 'La Cruz Del Sur'
Plantlife 'When She Smiles She Lights The Sky'
Sneaker Pimps 'Low Five'
CJ Bolland 'It Ain't Gonna Be Me'
Brand New Heavies 'You Are The Universe'
INXS 'Elegantly Wasted'
Akasha 'Mescalin'
Merz 'Lovely Daughter'
Galliano 'Ease Your Mind'
