The Scientist started producing in 1993 at the age of 16. He eventually teamed up with a friend and from that moment on The Scientists were born. Over the years they produced many tracks and remixes for well-known labels and producers.
Not long after they had a couple of releases, they thought about creating a live-act. They didn’t just want to perform on stage with keyboards, but they wanted a complete show with fireworks dancers and a mc. They got so popular that they had to tour from city to city to perform in the Netherlands and abroad.
One of their best live-acts was in Switzerland at a major party in Roggwill(Switzerland). This was at a large factory, which had many halls and all different kinds of music. From pounding Techno to stumping Hardcore. Also they played at the infamous Hellraiser parties. After a couple of years The Scientists decided to go their own way, so Ronald changed the name into The Scientist.
He then started producing together with DJ Pila. They performed as Pila & The Scientist at many parties like Thunderdome on tour, the Megafestatie at the jaarbeurs in Utrecht, as well as during dj Pila’s Asian tour which took them countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
Their most popular EP was Mokum 56 together with Chosen Few on which the track The Break was released. This track reached nr. 15 in the radio 538 dance charts(national radio Holland).
After a sabbatical year they started producing again at the beginning of 2002.
This time no hardcore but the hardbeats that go straight through your body called Hardstyle. At the beginning of 2001 they had a live-act on Qlimax and from there on it went fast, with gigs at Qlubtempo,Defqon 1, X-Qlusive Holland, X-Qlusive Labels/Live-Acts, Airbeat 1 Festival(De), Goliath(DE/CH) and in 2005 they played at truck nr.1 at the streetparade(CH) to name a few
At the end of 2002 he has teamed up with DJ Pila and DJ Luna and together they have founded StraightOn Recordings. With StraightOn Recordings, they have travelled the world with the StraightOn Tour, in countries, like Poland, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland to name a few. This years Tour is going to be even much bigger and better. Also they have founded 4 sublabels, StraightOn Black, Specials, Privilege Recordings and their new baby "Next Chapter"
The Scientist, who is resident of the StraightOn Tour and has had a bi-monthly recidency at the Intraxx Parties in L’acropol in Paris and also in Club Piramida in Poland in 2006. With some smashing releases on StraightOn together with Pila(Like This/Like That, Xtra-Ordinary/Immortality), with Busy (Rested/Computer Controlled) and some smashing remixes for A*S*Y*S* - Acid Nightmare, Ralph Novell-Back, Paul T-Can I Get Some, DJ Chuckie-Danze Klootzak to name a few. Together with DJ Pila he also produced the Anthem for the famous Qlubtempo parties from Q-Dance
In the near future you can hear a lot from him, as the new release Pila vs The Scientist will be released soon and with upcoming gigs like: Streetparade Zurich(Goliath), Billund Idrætshal (Denmark) and the StraightOn Tour in Australia will take him all over the world……
